Microsoft has released multiple emergency, out-of-band updates for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server to fix two issues caused by the January Patch Tuesday updates.

The Xbox January 2026 update is now being highlighted by the folks over at Xbox Wire, and as usual with these updates in recent months, it's not really very console-focused — the updates encompass everything nowadays.

Nvidia is rolling out a new app update today that includes its latest DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Nvidia Surround settings. DLSS 4.5 includes Nvidia’s second-generation Super Resolution transformer model, designed to improve image quality and reduce the artifacting found in DLSS 4.

Apparently this is "still the plan", and the next Xbox console's dashboard will be a customised version of the Xbox Full Screen Experience UI that's currently present on the ROG Xbox Ally handheld.
